The LCD digital display is a high contrast display making for easy weight reading. The pet scale is powered by 6 "C" size alkaline batteries which means you can place it just about anywhere because you do not need the AC electrical outlet as with many other pet scales. The digital display is a remote unit with an 8" cable allowing the veterinarian to place the display on the wall or counter top away from the weighing platform.
